Home - Journeys - Thailand 2023 - Tuesday, February 7, 2023

Last night we slept reasonably well with the family in Lat Krabang.
Thanks to yesterday's shopping, breakfast is a bit better, bread with tasty cheese. Only the coffee will make do here, no espresso but instant coffee.

Today we really go to the hairdresser as Pia agreed yesterday. We want to leave early, so we drive to the hairdresser around 11:30 am.
At half past four we leave there again.
What's happening in the meantime? Pia's hair is washed and cut a little. Superfluous calluses are removed from Tom's feet and the nails are trimmed. Pia's hands are stripped of unnecessary calluses and skins and the nails are cut. The hairdresser's husband comes by with beer and wants to drink beer with Tom, too bad but that doesn't happen because Tom still has to drive.

Before we really drive away, we buy some food for tonight at the market near the hairdresser.
When we get home, Pia calls her sister Moue to say she doesn't have to buy food. She then learns that Kan, Moue's little son, broke his wrist while playing at school.
It doesn't seem all that serious, but it does mean four weeks of plaster around the wrist. And that's not fun for a child who likes to move and sports.
